Terence Yam, a 20-year communication veteran specializing in public relations and integrated marketing communications, heads up MSLGROUP Hong Kong as General Manager. With rich experience in various multinational communication agencies, Terence returned to MSLGROUP in 2014 to lead and transform the consumer practice of the company. Under his leadership, he has built a robust team providing integrated communication solutions to the world’s leading brands, including Netflix, Marriott International, Under Armour, EA Games, Melco Crown Entertainment, to name a few. In less than two years, Terence has doubled the size of Hong Kong office and made it the fastest growing operation in MSLGROUP’s entire Asia region. With his strong background and vision in digital communications, he built a dynamic social media team from zero. In the first half of 2016, the agency’s digital and integrated marketing business accounted for more than 50% of its total revenue. Under the recent agency consolidation within Publicis Groupe, he has been an active supporter of “The Power of One” by bringing all the agencies in the group as one team to bring their clients the most integrated and influential communication works. Prior to joining MSLGROUP, he served in various multinational PR consultancies, including The Hoffman Agency, Burson-Marsteller, Weber Shandwick and Manning Selvage & Lee. His previous clientele includes Hong Kong Disneyland, Google, Canon, Philips, Siemens, Coca-Cola , Wellcome Supermarket, Red Bull, New Balance, MasterCard Worldwide, etc. One of his projects for Hong Kong Disneyland – “Creating positive publicity for Hong Kong Disneyland” bagged the “Hong Kong Public Relations Award 2010 – Reputation and Brand Management”. He was also a core team member for the award-winning campaign – “Preserving Heritage through Public-Private Partnerships” for Wellcome Supermarket, which won the “Corporate Branding Campaign of the Year” in the Asia Pacific PR Awards 2007.
