Teresa Ambrosius is the Secretariat of the ASB. She started with the ASB in January 2016 as the Technical Coordinator and was promoted to Secretariat in December 2017. She serves as the primary liaison to ANSI with respect to all voluntary consensus standards developed and maintained by ASB, monitors the progress of all document development, provides guidance on ANSI and ASB requirements and ensures that ANSI’s Essential Requirements (ER) are met by the 13 ASB consensus bodies, serves as the liaison between CBs and ASB Board, and is a nonvoting member of the ASB Board. Along with ensuring ASB maintains its ANSI accreditation and handles appeals and collaborates with ANSI, other SDOs, NIST, and the forensic community. She also serves as the ASB standardization process and policy expert and principal external and internal contact for all standards related matters; advocating and promoting the value of standards developed and administered by ASB. Ms. Ambrosius came to ASB from the American Petroleum Institute where she spent nearly 20 years, primarily as Editorial Coordinator of Standards. She has been active in the Society for Standards professionals, both on the board as Marketing Director and as the Chair of the Leadership Development Committee, she is also a member of the ANSI Organization Member Forum and the ANSI Board of Standard Review.

Technical Coordinator - Standards BoardAmerican Academy Of Forensic Sciences Jan 2016 - Dec 2017AAFS has developed a wholly owned subsidiary corporation entitled the AAFS Standards Board LLC to administer the Academy’s Standards Development Organization (SDO) activities as an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited SDO. The Academy Standards Board (ASB) will run the AAFS SDO process. The ASB will appoint a Consensus Body technical committee for each proposed standard. The Consensus Bodies will be comprised of Volunteers from relevant and interested parties both within the Academy and the forensic science community as a whole. -
Publications Council Director - Volunteer Board PositionSes - The Society For Standards Professionals Aug 2016 - Aug 2019The Publications committee is responsible for SES publications, producing the Standards Engineering journal, publishing the SES standards, and managing the World Standards Day Paper Competition judging. We are partners in making sure the e‐reader App is up to date and has the right information. We work with the Education Committee to maintain a solid, helpful bibliography of standards‐related papers and books. We proofread documents and assist our journal editor in any way we can.
