As a teacher, I am well versed in school operations, common core standards and student achievement. Using data-driven instruction, I conduct analysis and implement academic interventions. For the foreign language department, I encouraged immersion and communicative language learning and travel annually with high-school students abroad. As English as a Second Language (ESL) Coordinator, I supervise English Language Learner (ELL) admissions, entrance assessments, and quarterly testing. After scoring these assessments, I work with school administration to ensure ELLs are programmed accordingly to better serve their unique academic goals. I also work collaboratively on the Language Allocation Policy to support the multi-linguistic needs of our school community. As the School Treasurer, I manage the general school fund and supervise all money collections and expenditures, meeting weekly with the school principal to review budgets, deposits and check requests. As the Advanced Placement Coordinator, I analyzed AP score data for our school and turn-keyed AP teachers on results to inform and improve instruction, register students, coordinate payment and schedule exams.
