I am still with UnitedHealth/Optum but have moved to a new position.I was a Quality Analyst for 7.5 Years. I worked with Physical Health claims and Processors located in NY and India. I also worked Audits for Physical Health Appeals. I have audit experoence in Appeals / Data Entry / Remittence / Sendback letter / Pends/ PG groups / Tracers / External Audits for Physical Health in Optum. I am proficient in running reports in Excel for weighted summary and SOX and Defect Remediation for all books of business.

I gathered a group of women and just before winter we ask the community to donate gently used winter clothing and outterwear. Koochaching county is one of the highest areas of poverty in the northern part of our state. We are known as the Ice Box of the Nation and that is no Joke. We wash and repair all of the items and distribute 4 days in November to anyone who walks in the door. I have seen co-workers and friends and it is so heartwarming to know we have worked together to bring them comfort and warmth. Our last drive we distributed 1500 coats , 400 Hats and 600 pairs of mittens and gloves, there were about 150 pairs of snow pants and 25 pairs of boots. The support from the community was amazing. We are hoping to continue to offer this service until no one is cold anymore.

I work along side leadership to maintain TAT, lead processors and inspire them to do their best work for our members and providers.

I was a lunch lady. I loved my job, I was a server and helped prepare the food. There were three of us and we worked very well together. The kids loved to come to my line because I knew thier names, I made them laugh, and I always made them take the vegetable. The teaching staff and I got along wonderfully and it is that relationship that pushed me to run in the School Board Election. I won and beat out two incumbants. I loved being the voice for the parents and the teachers. That was my platform. I was the only board member with a student in the High School and the Elementary School. I stayed on top of what was happening, worked on a Teachers Negotiation with the Union as well. I loved that position but had to leave it when my husband had taken a job in another county. I learned so much and was so thankful for all of the support from the teachers and the parents.
