I take care of the house for 24 hours and do everything that entails - meet guest needs, manage volunteers, cook, clean, do paperwork and man the phone constantly, accept donations, take van runs and whatever else the house needs. One day I had to clean up a flooded basement and another day I had four volunteer groups (breakfast, dinner & two cleaning crews) and a handful of donation drop-offs, check ins, check outs and van runs to manage - but mostly it falls somewhere in the middle, with plenty of time to interact with the families
