Prior to becoming President of our locat chapter on January 1, 2010, I served as the V.P. of Communications for the chapter.The “Award Winning” Mid-South Chapter, comprised of over 100 members, has a long and successful history with HSMAI since our conception in the mid 1980’s. From our Leadership Development to our programs focusing on Customer Interaction, we have won many chapter awards in the “Best of the Best” competition. Each year scholarships are provided to deserving hospitality students. Hundreds of bears have been donated to the Child Advocacy Center during our Annual Holiday Luncheon program. Educational Programs keep our members abreast of the latest trends in the hospitality industry. Partnerships are developed between our members and sponsors. Friendships are cultivated. Above all, we have achieved our mission to be the leading source for sales and marketing information, knowledge, business development, and networking for professionals in tourism, travel, and hospitality.

Prior to becoming V.P. of Communications, I served as V.P. of Membership, responsible for New Member Orientations and Member Care. In my communications position, I was responsible for overseeing the production of the newsletter, direct mail communications, & updating of the website.
