The Sr. Production and Planning individual will perform a variety of technical and business tasks in support of Raytheon Redstone Missile Integration Facility (RRMIF). This senior level planning individual will manage multiple assemblies and the associated tasks listed below are necessary in order to prevent a work stoppage or a slip in schedule, both of which would have a significant impact to the program’s cost and schedule requirements. Tasks include, but are not limited to the following:This position is a dual grade requisition; Salary Grade G08 or Salary Grade G09 based on the applicant's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience, and responsibility requirements for the position. The individual will review, plan, prepare, issue, and control production schedules and changes associated with his/her assemblies. Insufficient planning on the part of this individual could have a negative impact on the program meeting financial and schedule requirements.

Perform a variety of technical and business tasks in support of production programs. Manage multiple assemblies and prevent work stoppage or a delay in schedule. Review, plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules and changes associated with assigned assemblies. Efforts directly impact the program meeting financial and schedule requirements. Evaluate and coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production/customer requirements. Responsible to evaluate and status the assemblies in progress, material availability and potential production issues. Propose solutions to mitigate interruptions of work being performed and potential stoppages. Forecast and solve potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed. Control and analysis of multiple and highly complex bill of materials in an MRP system. Schedule equipment and personnel, confirm material demand and prepare necessary work orders based on shop load and inventory requirements. Management of end item devilerables based on the master production schedules. Coordinate activities with manufacturing, quality, engineering, purchasing and logistics. Schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders. Responsible for the material tracking from purchase order release to the receipt of material. Interface with internal and external customers. Authorize factory work via assembly work orders and follows product through completion. Detailed inventory analysis and authorization of purchase requests for the production or purchase of component level assemblies.
