I created Gallivant as an expression of Southern hospitality from my Kentucky upbringing combined with a lifelong passion for travel. My wanderlust began at a very early age, when I attended a French cultural immersion class at the small public library in my hometown. While I learned to make crêpes and speak basic phrases in French, I dreamed of one day seeing the Eiffel Tower in person. I discovered early that dreaming and anticipating a journey provide much of the magic that shapes the narrative we have of that journey.Years later, as a biotech executive I relished exploring with family every spare moment, and I realized that there was a growing need of personalized travel design services for those who placed as high a value on their time away with family and friends as I did. In my family’s travel, I sought an approach that allowed us to be present in each moment because all the details had been well considered and seen to, yet also allowed us to be spontaneous and chart our own course—to make each journey truly ours.These sentiments are at the heart of Gallivant as we endeavor to translate our clients’ dreams into reality, to elevate your adventures with all the wondrous facets of travel that lead to your mosaic of memories.One of the most rewarding outgrowths of our work has been the personal relationships we cultivate with our clients as we work with you year after year to add new chapters to your family’s travel narrative.
