The main goal of the project “Learning circles in libraries” is to help adults access useful content online, study effectively and to improve their lifelong learning skills. The main strategy to achieve this goal is to prepare librarians to start this type of new service and to provide them with all support necessary resources - created using tried and tested methodology, digital assets and the network of practitioners. Within the framework of project we would like to introduce, implement and disseminate on a broad scale, the concept of "learning circles" - communities of adult learners, who facilitated by librarians and supported by friendly environment of library will popularize the movement of lifelong learning. The content for learning circles is provided by existing on-line resources. We expect to establish approx. 60 learning circles with at least 6000 participants yearly as well as build the methodological foundations and pool of experts to further expand their existence. The planned intellectual outputs will compile a 6-elements educational package: white paper on adult education, database of online course, training program, short awareness building educational module for adults and outreach and guidance strategy.

New Challenges for Public Libraries aims to create a transnational community formed around public libraries active in the European countries involved, in order to share good practices and test the design thinking approach (Human Centered Design Methodology) to develop innovative services and promote the active involvement of the citizens.The project aims to set up transnational models for creative, sustainable and effective solutions to the challenges faced by libraries in the digital era.An innovative and participative approach that partnership with cultural and creative industries will help to thrive.Human centered innovation is the keyword of these new programs. It focuses mainly on the territory, re-evaluating the relationship with the local communities. The best practices show that libraries and librarians are rising and responding to the challenges, reframing spaces and functions, promoting innovative programs and services.www.newlib.eu
