Attending university is something every first-generation immigrant dreams of and I was no different. Unphased by financial challenges and logistics, I was desperate to get an education and change my circumstances, so at 18, I made the bold move of walking right through the front doors of Bryman college and asking for a job so I could support myself and get an education. To my surprise, they gave me one. My task was to recruit prospective students by cold-calling through which I learned about the admissions processes at higher education institutions. I was soon promoted to an admissions advisor to start an outbound division call center. After being recruited to do the same thing for the International Education Corporation, I worked as an Expense Reduction Analyst building strategic broker relationships. There I was also a liaison with the candidates, sales team, and broker community. With all of this experience, my husband and I established our first company from scratch. Suporta was founded to provide a solution to the challenges we found in our admissions process experiences by streamlining the admissions process and serving as ancillary support without the cost of full-time employees.Starting a business from the ground up was a learning experience. We dealt with all the ups and downs of a first-time business owner and none of the support of a franchise. As I stumbled upon more franchise opportunities, I began to understand the value of franchises versus starting a company from scratch and was called to share this with others to save them from some of the struggles we endured and save them time and money. I am now a certified franchise consultant and enjoy the opportunity to educate potential franchise owners and help them identify opportunities based on their skills and personality. Passionate about education, technology, and coding, it is no surprise that I fell in love with my most recent endeavor, the purchase of a Code Wiz franchise. Code Wiz is a coding and robotics education franchise that my kids love and from which I will soon be a certified coder myself. I practice what I preach in everything I do to ensure the complete satisfaction of the clients I serve.I’ve been told I take the term “mover and shaker” to the next level, which makes me very proud.
