Responsible for the overall management, control and direction of various assigned ITS projects. The ITS Project Manager will initiate, plan, execute and control projects involving multiple people, process and technology components.

Supervised and managed the procurement, installation, upgrade, relocation and maintenance of City's network infrastructure including file and application servers, network equipment and related hardware/software.Managed support operations for end users regarding City-wide standard IT hardware (PC's. Printers) and software (MS Office, Outlook) such as assisting with installations, troubleshooting, making recommendations, developing back-up procedures, assisting with acquisitions, etc.Assisted Chief Technology Officer with the annual ITS operations' budget and capital asset expansion. Ensured that effective Project Management process was in place for ITS projects that are directly related to upgrading, modifying, expanding or otherwise changing the IT operational infrastructure.Filled role of Project Manager for new building construction projects and, roll out of new VoIP phone system and Email migration.Managed all aspects of AS400 operations.

Appointed as manager pro tem in ITS Managers' absence during this period and intermittently over past 2 years.Managed all IT expenditures to ensure fiscal responsibilty.Leader of 6 high technical staff members including a Network Manager, Information Support Specialist, Hardware Technician, IT Project Manager and 2 Applications Administrators.

Managed multiple projects including relocation of equipment and infrastructure for hundreds of staff to new buildings, upgrade of AS400 hardware to newer model and implementation of test systems for Y2K compliance.Managed all aspects of multiple AS400 operations including O/S version control, configuration of client sessions and monitoring of critical resources.Participated in Department budget process through the definition of new project requirements and analysis of current inventory.Managed the phone systems for the City including coordination of all modifications, maintenance of over 400 voice mailboxes and customization of the Octel voicemail system.Responsible for all IT related procurement for the City including the selection, contract maintenance, purchasing, distribution and tracking of hardware and software assets.
