I also served as a Case Manager at The Salvation Army's Center of Hope emergency homeless shelter through a federal grant partnership created between New Directions and The Salvation Army. I was responsible for managing the Honor Bed and Honor Dorm program for shelter participants. This required participants to meet bi-weekly with me for case management services, securing employment within 2 weeks of shelter entry, creating a savings account within 1 month of shelter entry, and ultimately securing housing within a 5 month period. I maintained a case load of 25-30 participants at one time.
