Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington has been an important part of my life since I joined theorganization as a volunteer in 1989. My passion and love for Make-A-Wish and its mission hasimpacted my life and who I am in so many ways. The relationships I’ve built and the familiesI’ve met along the way has touched my heart forever. Volunteering is so rewarding; seeing the joy on a child’s face and the tears in their parent’s eyes when their wishes are granted are specialmoments to be treasured. I’ve been a wish ambassador, and I'm proud to make this my life's work. When I made the decision to change careers, I knew I wanted to work for a non-profit organization. I feel blessed to be doing this meaningful work and helping critically ill children find hope, strength and joy.
