I represent the project “Unveiling Memories” in the US which seeks to reappraise the shared Hispanic and American history, showcasing the contribution made by Spain and the Hispanic world to the independence of the United States of America. Spanning a whole range of initiatives on both sides of the Atlantic, the project includes events in museums and both private and official institutions, exhibitions, publications, commemorations, online resources, support for training, teaching and research, as well as collaboration with the media.

As a volunteer, I led an innitiative in the US Congress to fulfill a Continental Congress Resolution from 1783 to honor a Spanish hero from the American Revolutionary War, Bernardo de Galvez, by hanging his portrait on the walls of the U.S. Senate.
