This project was for managing community cooperation and communication, media and stakeholder relations for flying fox migrations across the region during 2013 to 2015. Over 18 months effective communication helped reduce costs for Council by improving community behavour and understanding, which improved the speed and effectiveness of planned dispersal. Presenter Local Government Association of Queensland Media and Communications Conference 2015Major work was delivered for rebranding and profiling Isaac Regional Council Libraries - now Isaac Libraries, to attract considerable funding from government and industry. This aimed to improve capacity of the library to improve childhood literacy and digital literacy in rural communities. During this role, I assisted with securing budgets to improve the profile of the Council including five television adverts, all of which were partnered by the media company to lower rates for clients, to help Council achieve it's aims for particular projects. A high proportion of media was delivered and managed during this role particularly around resources industry downturn, flying foxes and major events and programs.
