>Environmental and Toxic Torts Litigation - Teresa served as lead trial counsel for both plaintiffs and defendants in cases involving environmental contamination including serving as the chair of the steering committee for more than thirty defendants sued by the City of Wichita for extensive groundwater contamination underlying Old Town in Wichita, Kansas, and was successful in achieving an early and cost effective resolution for her client, a drycleaner charged with the most significant liability. We have experience dealing with regulatory agencies in Missouri, Kansas, Florida, California, North Dakota and Texas, including the United States EPA. >Class Action Experience - We served as lead counsel in toxic tort class action cases, including against a refinery and other oil and gas companies for contamination of residents’ property and groundwater. To date, settlements with three of the defendants total more than $35 million. >Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) - Represent plaintiffs in collective action wage and hour cases under the FLSA and have obtained multi-million dollar awards for plaintiffs for unpaid minimum wage and overtime claims. >Executive Compensation and Severance Agreements - We work with executive clients to draft and negotiate agreements. >Litigation and Trial - We represent plaintiffs and defendants in a broad spectrum of business disputes, including contracts, buy-sell agreements, licensing disputes, and professional malpractice concerns. Teresa has represented companies in numerous cases involving software licensing.
