My team specialises in both the securitisation industry as well as Managed Investment Trusts facilitating foreign investment into Australian commercial real estate. Responsibilities included: • Leading a team of 5 staff in the delivery of accounting services to key clients • Preparing and coordinating the delivery of services under each Accounting engagement, ensuring quality of outputs to clients • Assisting the General Manager in delivering key projects and shaping the strategic direction of the accounting business • Delivering operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives and projects • Leading and providing training and guidance to junior staff members, to drive the performance and continued development of staff • Supporting the new business function, including attend new business meetings and provide upfront technical expertise, as well as oversee set up and transition of new trusts • Keeping up-to-date with developments in the accounting standards & tax industry and communicate where appropriate, acting as SME for other PCT business units • Maintaining an appropriate quality assurance & risk management framework
