Event Network is the leading operator of gift shops for aquariums, museums, science centers, botanical gardens, and other highly regarded cultural attractions. I currently am the director for the gift shops at the Phoenix Zoo and the OdySea Aquarium. As retail director some of my responsibilities include:-Extending the guest experience from the venue to the retail store-Hiring, training, and developing a strong bench who can support the Phoenix area- Monitoring KPI's, assortment mix, and product placement to maximize profit and loss for each department - Infusing the company culture into the workplace and creating a fun, exciting atmosphere- Managing multiple store locations- All aspects of operating retail stores including inventory and audits.

-Gross sales increased 200% during the 10 years as regional manager of the retail operations of 15 stores in 7 states. Creates sales plan and leads profit and loss metrics to plan for retail division.-Leads strategy and discussion in long-range business planning. -Developed training program to communicate company culture, vision, goals, procedures, and sales messages to retail store personnel in support of the brand.-Leverage knowledge of sales, demographics, visuals, and product mix to make each store appealing to its market. Worked with product development team to introduce assortments that included the next generation of Apaches (number one selling apparel item for 2 years); ---Chinook anniversary line (top line for the year), safety line (top seller company-wide for 3 years).-Builds new business. Opened 3 new stores as well as started a traveling pop up shop to support locations that did not have access to a physical Boeing Store. Travel store grossed over $1M in sales annually.-Implemented bonus structure and ran monthly motivational contests for all stores.
