I worked in 3 full-time roles at Heartland Community College Information Technology Services department. Each promotion came with progressively more responsibilities and technical/management skills. I was 100% responsible for the development and delivery of technical training for all levels employee levels. I created the college's first customer service ("Help Desk"). I completed needs analysis, selection and configuration of the new ticketing systems. I also selected and supervised all help desk personnel. I served as project manager for the Financial Services PeopleSoft/Oracle during Y2K. While in this role I also worked in leadership roles for IT projects. This included full voice-over-IP phone system upgrade, SOX compliance, and design of the college's first web site. Working on a wide range of projects allowed me to accumulate a lengthy list of technical skills.

This is a part-time position where I serve as the instructor for a variety of non-credit courses at the college. While some of the courses are related to Information Technology software tools, I've authored many courses in other areas ranging from cooking to travel planning.

Smarthinking is the country's largest virtual learning assistance center. This position is an asynchronous writing instructor or "e-structor. As a writing e-structor I receive student compositions via a web-based application. I review the composition then respond by offering the student general guidance about the writing process and specific recommendations for the compositions.

At this Information Technology consulting firm I had several areas of responsibility. These included writing and designing marketing pieces and the company's training guide for new sales persons. I also authored and designed detailed application guides for end users. Related to these very extensive manuals I conducted all technical training for clients for the company's in-house software tools. Finally, I authored training materials then conducted training for standard word processing, spreadsheet, database, and desktop publishing "off the shelf" products both for employees and company clients.
