As the SVP of Social Impact and Sustainability at TelevisaUnivision, I leverage my 25+ years of experience in media and communications to create positive societal impact for the Hispanic community and beyond. I lead the company's efforts to design and implement employee and community programs and content campaigns that reflect the diversity and values of our audience, and align with the company's vision and goals. I have a passion for the power of media and storytelling to harness the power to build brand value and deliver sustainable business results. My experience has exposed me to all aspects of the corporate organization, content forms and media platforms. I love the thrill of live television and operating a newsroom, the strategy and execution and the business behind our business, makes me think like an owner and operator.I have won 14 Emmy Awards and other honors for my work, and I have developed strategic partnerships with various stakeholders to maximize opportunities and impact and bring value to the organization. I am also the President of the Univision Foundation board, a non-profit organization that supports education, health, and civic engagement for Hispanics in the U.S. and Latin America. My mission is to influence society for the better and empower the Hispanic community and ensure that it can be operationalized into the organizational design and bring brand value. I believe the most value is extracted when you optimize the intersection of community/brand, content and commercialization/funding.
