Teri is an intercultural and multilingual facilitator, trainer, and healing centered coach fighting for a future with representative democracy, sustainable livelihoods, racial and social justice and a healthy planet.She has spent the last 15+ years designing, facilitating and leading leadership, community and organizational development for hundreds of social change leaders. She uses decolonized, liberatory and somatic practices, design thinking, and emergent strategy to create inclusive, democratic spaces that support diverse leaders to transform themselves, their communities and the social impact sector. For almost 2 decades Teri has built relationships and partnerships with diverse stakeholders including, local grassroots leaders, government policy makers, academics, and community organizers in the US and abroad. Her international field work includes experience in Peru, Mexico, Colombia, Philippines, Indonesia, Mozambique, Namibia and South Africa. Teri has also traveled extensively throughout most of Latin America and speaks Spanish with professional proficiency and has basic competency in French and Portuguese. Teri is a first-generation Guyanese-Canadian and naturalized American who grew up in and around Toronto, Montreal and upstate NY. She called DC home for more than a decade before moving back to Canada where she is now based. When she's not working on social change, she spends her free time getting outdoors, exploring the world through the eyes of a toddler, collecting books she will someday read, listening to podcasts about the future of work and exploring food, culture and community through travel.
