Project Manager/Quality Manager
Planned, quoted and executed test plans to meet the goals of customer testing needs. Managed customer projects ranging from short-term compatibility testing to large-scale lifetime estimation, including mechanical, physical and analytical testing of material properties. Immersion testing encompassed a wide range of environments, pressures and temperatures, including high-sour service conditions. Knowledgeable in a wide range of ASTM, ISO, API and NACE testing standards. After leading Argen Polymer through initial testing lab accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 in 2016, assumed the role of Quality Manager in 2017. While in this role, was responsible for maintaining and expanding quality systems and scope of accreditation. Successfully led the transition to the updated ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard. After the acquisition of Antech Labs by Argen Polymer in 2018, leading to the newly named Argen Labs, integrated the new branch of metallurgical testing into the Argen quality systems and qualified additional test standards for an expanded scope of accreditation. Trained new successor as Quality Manager in dedicated position in 2020.

Chemist/Senior Laboratory Technician
Trans Ionics is a research and development company that has received over $2M in grant funds. My R&D experience includes exploring separation technologies such as solid-state ion transport membranes, liquid-liquid extraction, adsorption, pervaporation using polymeric membranes, and metal-ligand complexes conducted under grants from the US Department of Energy and the National Science Foundation. Work included preparing and optimizing thin films of materials by tape casting, laminating and sintering green tape composites and analyzing resulting properties of samples. Results were analyzed using quantitative gas chromatography, FTIR spectroscopy and impedance spectroscopy. Some work was conducted in oxygen-free and moisture-free environments, such as with Schlenk line and inside a glove box. I often planned and engineered creative lab-scale apparatus for safely and cost-effectively conducting experiments. Multi-tasking concurrently running projects to achieve results and meet deadlines for each was necessary, as was maintaining proper records through detailed lab notebooks and organized data compilations.
Chemist/Senior Laboratory Technician
SeprOx is a fully-owned subsidiary of Trans Ionics Corporation created to perform work under a $1M Texas Emerging Technology Fund Grant. This grant was received in partnership with the University of Houston. Duties included synthesizing oxygen-conducting electrolyte material, preparing and optimizing thinly cast tapes of electrolyte material, laminating and sintering green tapes, and analyzing resulting properties.
