Founder + CeoSilvrspoon Sep 2010 - Oct 2012silvrspoon brought the restaurant menu to life. an iOS and Android app provided food recommendations based on your preferences and ordering history. you could order food and drinks directly from your table on your phone. tablets were installed behind the bar and at POS stations that would receive your order for a server to get you what you wanted, on-demand.for restaurants, meet the digital feedback card. ratings and comments on dishes, servers and the restaurant itself that they'd otherwise never get. rich menu management and ordering analytics gave our customers insight where there was previously very little.me: designed and developed the entire platform, consisting of an iOS and Android app for the masses, an Android tablet app for servers and a Google App Engine cloud backend hosting up the data for everyone.not an unusual ending, we simply ran out of gas (both capital and team).

Our enterprise link selection middleware enabled remote configuration of Windows Mobile devices via SMS and XML-RPC. Responsibilities included infrastructure, software documentation, product management and supervision of our engineering teams working in our Boulder, CO office. Sponsored a senior capstone project through the University of Colorado.
-
Software EngineerCon-X May 2007 - Sep 2008Developed the core of our intelligent mobile connectivity suite based on our patented link selection algorithm. Working with multi-mode mobile handsets that have the ability to access the internet via a number of network interfaces, our goal was to provide the user the most optimal link at all times. This was defined by a number of parameters - environmental factors [RF strength, current up/down speeds of available links, link latency, location, etc] and business rules [load balancing, security, data capping, cost per packet, etc]. While the user wishes to use the most optimal link at all times, in most cases they do not wish to take the time to switch networks. Our suite provided automatic link and network selection based on these parameters which could be updated anytime, from anywhere.

Software EngineerUniversity Of Colorado 2002 - 2007Denver, Colorado, UsSoftware Developer @ CableLabs [Sep 2005 – May 2006]Developed an interactive server written in Java and OCAP. The software was tested using the Osmosys SDK Eclipse plug-in as well as an ADB Set Top Box. The set top server communicated with a PC over a wired/wifi home network via an array of Java SOAP services. Remote control inputs were registered with the set top and forwarded on to the PC. There, all of the heavy processing and peripheral access was performed, limiting the amount of handling necessary on the set top to the bigger, faster thread-safe processor of a PC. The PC then provided updates to the set top via the home network and SOAP messages for redisplay. Created a home automation and chess application for demonstration.http://www.cs.colorado.edu/ugrad/seniorproject/projects/capster.htmlhttp://www.cablelabs.comWeb Admin [May 2004 – Oct 2004]Teaching Assistant [Jun 2004 – Aug 2004] -
