I started my career in the youth work sector 18 years ago. Since then I have also done a range of jobs from detached youth work, Center based and international youth work as well as family work, older people projects and managing teams delivering youth work, volunteering, employability support and courses. I’ve spent the last 12 years also creating and delivering courses for people in communities looking to learn new skills, to accredited youth work qualifications. Alongside these roles, I took over the running of a free summer holiday playscheme around 14 years ago. In the past 4 years the playscheme has grown and become a charity in its own right and I am privileged to be the Director. I am passionate about children having a safe space to play and learn about themselves and others around them. I continue to deliver courses for youth workers across the region as want to empower them to support and engage with young people in a positive way that helps them to grow and achieve.

I also became the Director of this amazing charity early in 2021. We provide free school holiday activities for children aged 5-11. We also hold family activity sessions as we understand the importance of play within families. In the next few months, we will be expanding to deliver accredited youth work and okay work training.
