After a successful launch of the Valon Laser, the R&D, production and sales/marketing were spun off as a new company, along with an infusion of venture capital.

I was approached to commercialize the final product, dubbed VALON, a multispot laser for the treatment of retinal diseases which dramatically reduces treatment time and pain.I'm in charge of the distribution network, marketing and clinical applications.

Another position, where the company approached me, instead of the usual "see ad - send CV - go to interview" -routine.The managing director came as a customer to my former site of employment, took a liking to me and after a psych evaluation and the usual formalities I was hired with the all-encompassing title of sales manager.This wasn't the first time someone tried to woo me to switch jobs, but this offer seemed a perfect fit for my skills at the moment, and I'm yet to regret my decision.

After four months as a salesperson I was asked to manage a new store. At the time I was the youngest store manager ever in Finland, aged 21.I was responsible for budgeting, recruiting, sales, promotional planning and implementation, merchandising strategies and reporting. I also handled all HR-responsibilities (environment, health and safety, salaries, familiarization, holidays, work schedules), security, and stock and store management.
