I have worked in the film, television, and advertising industries for 30+ years as an art director, project manager, set builder, prop master, model maker, and fabricator. I specialize in building miniatures and especially love working on stop-motion animation projects. I am proficient with most power tools and machinery and pride myself on being very organized and self-reliant.I have been an instructor and lecturer at San Francisco State University, UC Berkeley, and Stanford. At SFSU, I taught Production Design and Art Direction in the Cinema Department–the first time this class was offered there. I created a 13-week course covering all aspects of this highly skilled trade. I also teach painting, drawing, collage, and sculpture skills.Little-known fact: I acted as a veterinary technician for 3 years and especially loved to assist in surgeries.
