Using Salesforce allowed the ID team to analyze and share data more effectively with academic units at the College. This database went live August 2012 and accomplished all main tasks identified at the outset of the project.2) International Online Delivery Profiles: I developed a database/website combo which produces country profiles that focus on the preparations necessary to deliver online courses internationally. Each profile includes information such as average connection speeds, broadband access, and blocked/filtered websites. Since many of the academic units at the College had, or planned to develop, online programs with partner universities in other countries, having this information allowed them to design and tailor their courses accordingly.3) Live Stream of MVP Seminar: With the support of the NU Online Video Unit, I led the team that live streamed the Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP) Seminar from our campus in May, 2012- the first event of its kind streamed via NU Online. We subsequently used this model as the prototype for similar streaming events.4) NU Online Faculty Resource Center: I transferred the existing faculty resource center from Blackboard into a new site in WordPress. In the process, I added a number of sections to augment the existing materials. We got great feedback from the instructors when the site launched in mid-2012. I oversaw the site, posted to the blog, and coordinated input from instructional designers (e.g. guest blog posts) and instructors (e.g. highlighting tools and techniques in online courses).
