Anadarko Basin

Served as Drilling Engineer for two rigs, led teams through the design and execution of horizontal wells with focus on maximizing value. Planned and executed the business units first two mile Woodford laterals, first two string casing design Meramec wells, and optimized BHA design to reduce drilling slide percentage over 30%.

Oklahoma City, Ok

Designed, supervised, and operated well drilling programs including extended reach wells in the Marcellus Shale play utilizing many different types of drilling rigs. Designed drilling software, identified optimization techniques, introduced cost savings strategies, and presented to an audience of drilling engineers and managers in a technical forum on a regular basis. Software design included stuck pipe mitigation algorithms within a real time analysis tool, optimization of lateral target window height and location for maximum ROP and extended bit life, and working with Chesapeake IT department to improve process workflow for drilling engineers to develop more detailed drilling programs. Optimization and cost savings strategies included refined casing design, improved cementing methods, and reducing rig days by removing drilling task off critical path.
