Terrell is an American basketball player who was invited to play professionally in Australia in 2013 after years of playing at the highest level of college basketball in the US.Born and raised in Columbia, Missouri, under very tough circumstances, getting to Australia was no easier feat but a lifelong dream for Terrell. Graduating from University with qualifications in Human Services, Terrell has worked in mulitple roles in both the US and Australia. Through sharing his own story about overcoming adversity, Terrell is a true difference maker speaking to and mentoring troubled teens and currently works with SNAP (Special Needs Accommodation Placement) Programs supporting youth and people with disabilities and/or extreme behaviours.Terrell is highly motivated and engaged. He builds instant rapport with anyone he meets and demonstrates through his own life that it is not your circumstances that determine where you are going but your dreams. Basketball is Terrell’s passion and he knows the impact the game can have is more than it being just a sport. He has supported his association as Youth Coach and his strong beliefs in giving back has seen him particpate in Learn to Play - Primary School Basketball Programs and in basketball games and events in support of Breast Cancer and Domestic Violence. In 2015, Terrell was invited onto the Newcastle All-Star team to play an exhibition match against touring US College team, the Louisiana State University Tigers, which included Ben Simmons who now plays for the Philapeadila 76’ers. Terrell is currently Captain of the Maitland Mustangs who are in strong contention of taking the title this year and having recently received permanent Australian residency, Terrell has his sights on taking his Australian basketball career even further.
