• Coordinates non-therapeutic clinical research protocols with direction from the principal investigator and/or supervisor in compliance with regulatory laws and institutional guidelines.• Screens, enrolls, and recruits research participants.• Recognizes adverse events, protocol deviations, and other unanticipated problems and reports appropriately.

• Insuring satisfaction to Anesthesiologist, Surgeons, and Physician Assistants by stocking medications, supplies, and various equipment to insure surgery/procedure goes as planned.• Responsible for performing various patient-care, safety, and technical duties to support anesthesia and nursing teams in surgical and procedural areas. • Responds to patient-specific needs including blood, medications, supply and equipment during the surgical procedure.• This position is an active member of the Anesthesia OR emergency response/code team and assures all emergency safety equipment is available and in working order.• Assist in patient intake with tasks that include obtaining height, weight, and vitals as well as attaching other appropriate monitoring devices.

• Guaranteeing patient safety throughout their visits in the Neurology/Neuro Surgery Department. My goal is to maximize patient satisfaction prior to and after their visit with the Physician.• Acquiring vital signs and triaging different medical questions based off on the needs of the patient, such as blood pressure, height, weight, temperature, and oxygen level.• Preparing procedures such as lumbar punctures, Botox injections, biopsies, and, nerve blocks.

• Checking in patients and communicating with interdisciplinary teams such as doctors, nurses, and research groups to ensure their patients are being provided with the highest quality care.• Assisting disabled research patients during their scheduled appointments. These groups include Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Multiple Sclerosis, Movement Disorders, Stroke, Neuro Oncology, Cerebral Vascular and Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).• Communicating face-to-face and over the phone patient interaction and communication with physicians, nursing, and other clinical support staff; critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail. The ability to prioritize daily tasks simultaneously within a fast paced, ever changing work environment; adaptable and flexible within a strong team structure
