I am responsible for daily and long term operations of the program. Specifically, I do all hiring for the two programs including direct care staff as well as Supervisors and Coordinators. I also provide supervision and training for these employees and oversee their responsibility to train and supervise their own employees. This includes establishment of job duties as well as building skills to be promoted into other positions. Conflict resolution and disciplinary action is another area that I manage at the programs. I also provide support in managing crisis situations with at risk youth. I'm responsible for maintaining and updating crisis data for the two programs. It is submitted monthly to the state to make sure that we are remaining within the goals set for us. If we exceed those goals, we troubleshoot and create a plan for lowering any safety related incidents. Elements of that plan are assigned to specific members of the group based on the strengths and skill sets of those employees. Agency wide, I participate in numerous committees including Retention and Recruitment, Driver Training, Quality Management Team as well as Electronic Health Records. Between 4-6 times annually I participate in training the physical management crisis training for New Employee Orientations as well as Employee Refresher classes.
