As a System Admin, I ensure the reliable performance of Infor Cloudsuite’s ERP system as it relates to mk North America's long and short term requirements. The MRP portion of my position requires the data cleansing and import of all engineered bills of materials required to generate manufacturing work orders. This has been my first official supervisory role at mk North America. I, along with my team of two employees run the production schedule and are responsible for getting all manufactured materials through all three production buildings as efficiently as possible. This has been a unique challenge for me as I am responsible for scheduling orders and manufacturing operations for the employees of three other supervisors. I have learned a great deal in this role in regards to discrete manufacturing, how to prioritize customer orders and task delegation. Tasks:- Act as a point of contact between production, engineering, and sales departments. Updating job status, resolving material/fabrication issues, and processing expedited requests.- Maintain and prepare daily Operations Schedule across 3 separate production departments through Smartsheet.com interface.

Functioned as a junior assembler on the production floor; built standard conveyors, factory/laboratory equipment and provided support on larger projects. I really enjoyed my time in this role as it was rewarding to work with my hands and have the satisfaction of finishing a build and watch the product ship out the door. Tasks:- Interpreted 3D CAD models of company products and assembled units according to the engineered model.- Fabricated sheet metal parts to an engineered print using a variety of tools and equipment.

In this role I took on more responsibility and functioned as a go to guy for the shipping, receiving and stockroom departments. This was the beginning of my formal training in reading engineered blueprints and understanding machining tolerances while doing quality checks on components manufactured in our in-house machine shop. Tasks:- Received Purchase Orders and kept Operations Manager abreast of shortages on in house assembly orders.- Inspected for quality and accuracy on all incoming raw materials and inventory parts.- Organized the logistics of operations materials throughout three different production buildings.

I was responsible for the daily operation of the parts crib which stocked over 4,000 different items critical to shop orders on the production floor. This is where I was first introduced to an ERP system and began to observe how to operate in a successful Inventory Management team.Tasks:- Physical counts of high value stock items.- Picked components for internal conveyor orders in the assembly queue and daily UPS jobs also. - Communicated with Procurement Manager to ensure inventory errors are identified and resolved.
