Throughout the course of my 20+ year career in the transportation and logistics arena, I have worked across all major modes and have seen things from both shipper and carrier prospective. My career began in 1988 where I got my initial exposure as a dock worker with the Midwest Airfreight & Shippers Association. From there, I got a real feel for supply-chain dynamics as a driver for a local air-freight company and was later promoted to night operations manager.After that, I became a supply chain planner for Land Transportation and eventually went on to serve as Director of Logistics for Bay & Bay Transportation. I currently serve as the General Manager within the SAV Transportation Group and have been directly involved in retooling every aspect of our operation.I recently launched both the Minnesota Trucker and Minnesota Owner Operator groups on Facebook and look forward to moderating two meaningful forums for like-minded professionals within our industry. I spend most of my free time with my wife Kris and our four daughters.
