I am officially now a former employee of Avaya Inc., Lucent Technologies, and AT&T Bell Laboratories. My career has up until now provided me with a wealth of experience as a Systems Verification (QA) Engineer, working on large telephony solutions. I am a motivated and experienced professional who can interpret product requirements and translate them to efficient and thorough test plans. My broad telephony solution testing experiences include load testing, performance testing, and serviceability testing including installation, migrations, upgrades, patching, alerting, licensing, and certificate management. This decades long assignment has given me extensive experience with Linux and with VMware infrastructure including vCenter and ESXi hosts installing, maintaining, networking, storage. Script writing, which I claim as a passion of the job, contributed to the set of many testing tools to which I had access as a test engineer. As I now seek to continue my career, I find a title is quite a confusing thing--Avaya had given me a title of Senior Software Engineer. As I search the job boards and study the many descriptions and desired skills which candidates should possess, I most closely resemble a Software QA Engineer. So, there will be my focus, although with a good deal of peripheral vision, as I search for the next chapter in my career story.
