My duties included cabling and jack termination for preparation of new Cisco UC phone systems. Site survey for proper configurations on cut over date and the running of new data drops if necessary. In addition to these duties I also upgrade the router and phone system using tools, and configuration scripts from HQ, and run demarcation extensions.

My duties included managing, configuring and upgrading all computers, laptops, switches, servers, routers, call managers Cisco ASA, Cisco Phones, and performing preventative maintenance on all units. Designed and established Internet services for campuses that had no previous WWW access. Designed and establish a working network infrastructure topology for campuses without network environments. Dropped cables, installed switches, hubs, and routers as needed to setup a network environment. Setup computer labs; diagnosed network problems. Managed accounts, servers, mail servers, web master, and any other technical needs that were essential to providing a productive and fully functional network environment. E-Rate Grant Administrator for two districts. (E-Rate is a government process of getting discounted telecommunications and Internet contracted services, based on student demographics.)

Duties included running network cables for newly established network infrastructures, as well as the expansion of established network topologies. Toned faulty network cables using toning generator and replaced them. Along with these duties I was also tasked with troubleshooting phone line issues at the demarc and or running new voice drops and terminating at both ends.

Built production servers based on customer’s requirement. Preformed software diagnostic testing on all units and provided Help Desk level technical support. Built all units from empty chassis; installing motherboards, processors, RAID cards, risers, IDE drives, SATA drives, VRM’s, multi drive units and set jumpers. Conducted burn-in boot and ran diagnostics to ensure the unit was working properly. Isolated and repaired POST burn-in diagnostic failures. Verified systems performed to customers’ satisfaction. Returned the units that could not be repaired to the IT onsite specialist.
