I manage a team of nine developers working on Sapphire Structure, MiTek's whole-of-house structural design software. I lead my team in delivering high-quality releases on a regular schedule by promoting Agile best practices and continual technical improvement.Aside from technical leadership I am involved in people management, promoting a respectful and collaborative work environment, advocating for professional development, evaluating performance and recruiting new staff.

Software developer on Cubit Estimating, the flagship estimating software from Buildsoft. Working in C# with DevExpress, PostgreSQL, and OpenGL. I performed new feature development, bug fixes, refactoring legacy code, and writing automated tests.This provided me the opportunity to develop my understanding of the construction industry and the technologies that drive it with a particular interest in IFC BIM.One of my responsibilities was mentoring junior developers. This was a mutually rewarding experience, providing feedback and guidance to help them develop their skills and further their careers.I took on the role of Scrum Master for my team, which helped me develop a keen understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies, as well as further developing my skills as a servant-leader.
