As an insurance professional with over 25 years of property casualty claims experience I was responsible for bringing strategic, creative and consultative services to Lockton's clients that positively impacted and mitigated the clients overall claim exposures. My responsibilities included: creating customized claims management programs for Risk Management and Middle Market size accounts; developing and driving cost effective claim resolution strategies; analyzing and interpreting loss trends to eliminate repeat claim exposures; developing and presenting training programs for clients; and performing carrier/TPA audits to ensure adherence to special handling instructions and industry best practices.

As claims manager of the Willis' Washington, DC claims operations, my role included conducting employee performance evaluations, educating and training claims personnel to develop their skill competency in technical areas, as well as servicing and providing technical supervision and review of all high dollar and questionable coverage claims. In addition to personnel responsibilities, I also developed the annual department plan for senior management. Additionally, I created and managed all of the department service expectations including resolution of any problematic issues that arose.After a company restructure, claims support services were relocated to Willis HQ in Nashville, TN. My role was redefined as a senior claims consultant where I serviced Risk Management and Middle Market size accounts with responsibilities that included consultation on all complex and high dollar claims. My responsibilities included customizing claims programs to ensure our clients claims were being handled efficiently and effectively to obtain the most optimal outcome. My strong technical expertise allowed me to develop proven resolution strategies that included establishing strong action plans and utilization of internal and external resources to mitigate claim costs.
