I am a Dual Certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Adult/Gerontology Nurse Practitioner with a multifaceted journey in healthcare. I worked as an RN for 6 years, where I gained invaluable knowledge and experience. I worked in several different specialties as an RN including in psychiatry. I previously worked in both adult inpatient psychiatric units as well as child/adolescent residential facility settings. Early on, I embarked on a path to expand my expertise, earning certification as an adult gerontology nurse practitioner specializing in primary care management.However, it was during this phase that I discovered my true calling—to provide holistic care that addresses both the physical and mental well-being of individuals. This realization propelled me to pursue a higher level of specialization, leading me to attain my second degree and become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. In my current role, I am privileged to work with diverse individuals managing a spectrum of psychiatric diagnoses, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, schizophrenia, PMDD, and Post-Partum Depression.As a lifelong learner, I am committed to staying at the forefront of my field. I continuously seek out the latest practice guidelines and evidence-based research to ensure that my patients receive the most effective and comprehensive care possible. With an unwavering dedication to promoting mental wellness and a deep-seated passion for helping others, I am enthusiastic about making a positive impact and contributing to the advancement of psychiatric healthcare.
