Terri Cooper is the Founder of Yoga Gangsters, a national nonprofit organization that serves youth in crisis through yoga. Since 2003 Yoga Gangsters has facilitated free yoga programs to more than10K kids in schools, jails, shelters and more. Known for her ability to gather & inspire large communities, Terri has raised more than $250K through small events and grass root campaigns. Besides Terri's on the ground local service she and has traveled world engaged in outreach work in India, Uganda and Kenya, building schools, birthing centers and feeding people in need. Based in Miami Florida, Terri is the owner of 305 Yoga, a Karma Yoga school with 3 locations throughout the city. She can be seen teaching at national festivals, leading international retreats and offering workshops at studios everywhere. Always a student, Terri is blessed to serve as teaching assistant to international yoga instructor Seane Corn, and is on faculty of yoga's strongest non-profit Off The Mat, Into The World. Terri's passion for both justice and yoga combined were catapulted as she served as Florida Campaign Lead for YogaVotes, inspiring the yoga community to bring their yogic values to the polls. Known for her strong spiritual message delivered through an uncensored teaching style, Terri leaves student’s feeling inspired, connected and accepted. Her teaching style consists on a base of slow steady vinyasa with a strong accent on alignment and a commitment to purpose on and off the mat.
