I am responsible for overseeing the risk management program including a comprehensive insurance and safety program by evaluating practices and policies, training, education, and programs proven to reduce risk and provide a safe environment.

Greater Salt Lake City Area

I am responsible for comprehensive safety and health program development including work site assessments to determine risks, potential hazards and controls, evaluating risk and hazard control measures, emergency planning and preparation/business continuity, regulatory compliance, accident reporting, investigation and root cause analysis, tracking safety metrics and measurement reporting, corrective action measurements, self-inspection process, comprehensive training, record keeping, program review and evaluation. I specialize in conducting comprehensive safety and health audits, evaluating programs, issuing recommendations, as well as creating the program and providing the tools to facilitate change. These are part of the services I provide for Buckner Insurance Clients. I develop and conduct safety and health training initiatives for employees at all levels of employment, working in multiple environments. I maintain training plans and tracks employee competencies to allow planning for training opportunities to increase employee competencies and awareness for the companies she is contracted to work with. Furthermore, I am capable of identifying existing and predictable hazards and taking prompt action to correct and eliminate them.

Utah

Prepared grants, Oversaw VPP program, oversaw company fleet and other projects as necessary. Enforced safety and health regulations by identifying potential safety and health hazards, inspecting a variety of establishments to include industrial, manufacturing, construction, retail, distribution, transportation, storage facilities and any other type of Utah employers, performing safety and health hazard assessments, Sampling, monitoring, evaluating employer’s hazard abatement efforts, preparing reports, investigating fatalities, accidents and complaints, and created Safetyline newsletter for employers of Utah.

Supervised safety and health and health activities including workers compensation programs . Created written safety manual for administrative center, distribution center and manufacturing facility. Safety responsibility to include management of accident prevention and investigation programs, and conducting facility safety audits. Developed emergency response program to include preparedness, drills and shelter plans. Managed safety training to include: personal protective equipment; emergency procedures; fire safety; hazardous communication; electrical safety; lockout tag out; confined space; material handling; conveyor safety; forklift safety; and fall protection. Implemented safety committee and accident review committee to facilitate workplace safety programs. Oversaw safety program in all construction and remodel projects; ensuring compliance with all building codes and government regulations.

Boise, Idaho Area

Oversaw safety and health programs for 425 retail locations and eight distribution centers spanning 13 states including cabinet and paint shop, fuel centers and transportation, providing safety consultation to management staff in all business areas. Was responsible for new construction safety, regulatory compliance, design and implementation of accident reduction programs, design and delivery of staff training, and supervision of field safety managers in satellite locations; safety inspections of all facilities and preparation of related reports and safety training to include all OSHA and regulatory topics, creating action plans; including construction safety oversight for all new store construction and remodels.

Greater Salt Lake City Area

Planned, created and administered corporate safety and risk management programs, workers compensation program, general liability programs, including compliance with OSHA and other regulations as well as industry standards; budget management; facilitation of monthly safety meetings to all levels of management; claims review with company president; staff training and management training; creation and implementation of employee safety programs; responsible for safety program in manufacturing, distribution and retail store facilities covering eight states. Was responsible for safety compliance on all facility design and construction projects to include all new construction and remodels and implementing process safety management process.
