I’m co-founder of The Ellis McCarthur Foundation, an organization based on the legacy of our grandfathers Ellis (L.K.) King Smith and George McCarthur James, who believed in education and helping others. The foundation focuses on serving children that fall into the gap regarding school supplies, paying reduce school lunches, and understanding financial literacy for kids. I can relate to this group of children since I was one of those children who fell in the gap of needing assistance. I desire to break down the hurdles that prevent the next generations from reaching their full potential. I believe in the power of planting hope and love in every child that they can be amazing in the world. Additionally, I’m Executive Vice President and COO of STEP Management Incorporated. STEP Management is a Project Management Firm who works to accomplish project deliverables from project initiating to project closure by focusing on the scope, schedule, budget, and risks. I discuss the critical elements of focus, balance, and planning to our customers.
