Directed a a staff of six comprised of two network engineers, a senior systems administrator, a systems administrator, a web systems administrator, and a database administrator.Selected Accomplishments Provided leadership and fulfilled the on-campus project management role for the campus wired and wireless network forklift upgrades. Oversaw the consolidation of over 100 servers from physical hardware to a virtual infrastructure and the implementation of the associated IP SAN to support this system. Managed the research into hosted email systems and the subsequent upgrade from Microsoft Exchange 2003 to Microsoft Exchange 2010. Lead major security advancements including network access control, re-architecture of the campus LAN from a flat network into segmented VLANs, the addition of a server farm firewall within the internal network, construction of a DMZ for internet-facing servers, a new SSLVPN for remote access, and crafting policies to address security issues. Assisted with the migration of CC's Moodle-based LMS from a pilot to a production system integral to the campus academic mission. Collaborated with the Division of Communications to deliver a campus portal system and to provide support for campus development of a new college-wide website with a new underlying content management system.
