I worked for the past 9 years as a Receptionist/Office Administration/Switchboard Operator. This is what I did in that job. Managed the Switchboard/multiple phone lines, answering and transferring calls to the correct person. Greeted visitors, made badges for and announced them by notifying our employees of their visitors by email, phone call or paging system. Updated and maintained our Facility and Corporate Directory. Sorted and processed all incoming and outgoing mail/packages, added funds to our postage meters and made any services calls related to the postage system. Sent and received packages with FedEx and UPS. Ordered and maintained supplies from FedEx, UPS and USPS and the postage meter. Placed service calls for our vending machines as needed. Assisted our IT Support Department by resetting passwords, processing new hires and terminations on the application side and setting up new vendors for our IT department. Setting up new vendors required working with the vendor, IT, Accounts Payable and Legal to get and approve all needed documentation. Ordered supplies for the Corporate building.
