The non-profit corporation, Sierra 2 Center for the Arts & Community, facilitates and delivers artistic, cultural, social, recreational and educational opportunities for Sacramento and the broader Sacramento region. Created a test inventory management process that saved over $50k in shipping/replenishment costs to the retail channel in one month.

Provided leadership and set strategic directions for four major resort operating divisions: Retail operations, Equipment Rental operations, Outdoor Recreation Programs and facilities, and Events and Competitions. Successfully led and managed a staff base of over 350. Created two operating divisions from the ground up. Key Accomplishments:• Created Events division from the ground up, including concepts, strategies, short and long term objectives, operating practices, profitability plans, and standards of excellence. • Created Retail Operations division from inception, including specialty store concepts, store design, operating and capital budgets, business and marketing plans, product distribution systems, visual presentation standards, staffing structure, merchandise management and inventory planning models, and all policies, procedures, standards and practices. • Set strategic direction and operating framework for the Outdoor Recreation division at the resort and in and around the Monongahela National Forest and the New River Gorge to include guided services, skate/bike parks, backcountry hiking and overnight cabin stays, cross country skiing and snowshoeing, snowmobiling, children’s camps and lake activities. • Planned and coordinated the construction and operation of resort water attraction, Split Rock Pools• Special Project Director—Intrawest Corporate: envisioned, conceptualized and developed a branded education and outdoor recreation programming concept, UnCommon Ground®, focusing on development of summer and non-ski season destination activities for all Intrawest resorts.• Recognized by the Intrawest Retail Group for Highest Contribution Growth, year over year, among all resorts (152%). • Created the Retail University, a module-based training and development program used for the Retail and Rental operating divisions. This training program became the model for all training programs throughout the resort.
