As the Associate Director, I work the Education Director, three faculty members, and supervise roughly 40 students. I oversee the Hevre and Havurah period, allowing students to experience text study, current events, guest speakers, and special programming. I also coordinate the 7th grade program, co-teaching them the Holocaust and creating experiential programs for them throughout the year. -
Graduate Student Host For JcatThe Jewish Theological Seminary (Jts) Aug 2015 - Dec 2015As part of the Davidson Online course Teaching Jewish History, the class participates in the virtual world JCAT. JCAT is an online historical simulation that works with University of Michigan, Hebrew College, and day schools around the country. As the online historical game has expanded to incorporate more day schools, each university has added a student host who monitors student participation, areas of concern within the game, areas of interest, help create host announcements, and work with project directors to create next steps within the game. -

Derech HaLev focuses on a Jewish community with a focus on learning and inspiring people to truly live their Judaism as a natural thread woven throughout their lives. As the co-director of education I work with the rabbi as the lead teacher, create four curriculums for about 40 students, help facilitate a mother daughter group, and communicate with parents. I also co-created the website, http://pathwithheart.org/ and started the Tikkun Olam Shabbat program. Finally, I am the co-B'nai Mitzvah tutor for the community.

I work as an Administrative Assistant in the Religious School Office. There were 250 students in the school, and I assisted in sending school memos, creating lists, and gathering supplies. I also taught the 4th grade the beginning of the prayers for their B'nai Mitzvah and in Jewish Studies analyzed the Jewish holidays. Finally I was the youth advisor for Chaverim (the youth group for 2nd and 3rd grade) and for Club 15 (the youth group for 4th, 5th, and 6th grade). I organized and ran one program every 3 weeks.As of Fall 2013, I am still an administrative assistant and teacher. I will be working in the Amanda Sham Resource Center with 4th-6th graders with one-on-one Hebrew reading. Additionally, I am creating an 8th grade curriculum focused on Middot, Jewish values, and service learning.
