My interests lie in all things nucleic acid (NA) - from NA-based therapeutics to NA-based analytical assays. I offer extensive experience in the field of pharmaceutical plasmid DNA (pDNA)-based vaccines with a solid assay development history in both R&D and GMP environments. I am a versatile and creative problem solver who actively seeks opportunities to develop, learn, and apply new skills through literature research and colleague collaborations. During my career I have: established a novel gDNA fractionation methodology (AGE) for testing the presence of integrated pDNA in host gDNA resulting in multiple IND-allowing safety studies, led the design and execution of an aptamer-ELISA to correlate in vitro mRNA with protein expression, and managed an RT-PCR based potency assay for P2/P3 CMV pDNA-based DP.
