Guiding this national women's organization through a multi-year transition towards the future. In addition to expected executive-level functions (board relations, financial planning, fiscal and legal management, external partner development, vision/mission advancement, etc.) I lead a team of staff, volunteers, and contractors in the day-to-day operations for two centers (Loveland, OH and Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY), with oversight of an annual budget of $450,00 and $10,000,000+ in assets, while supporting members in multiple communities across the US as The Grail navigates through a long-term transition.Highlights include the creation and implementation of new initiatives to refocus the organization on early influences and to lay the groundwork for post-transition growth:1. Learning Labs—land-based initiative designed to encourage innovation by community-based organizations2. Art at the Oratory—collaborations between Grail artists and regional arts/social justice organizations3. Summer Young Adult Work Initiative—leadership and work opportunities for young women

With the decision to end retreat and program functions, I developed and implemented the 2-year site close down/transition plan with 10 month inventory, redistribution/repurposing of physical assets, remodel of office building, and the restructure of staffing. Prior to its closure, I managed day-to-day operations for 315-acre 20-building facility.

I conducted year-long review of programming with analysis of national trends and organizational structure, from which I designed a plan with staff restructure reducing from 50+ annual programs to nine growth targeted options.

I provided expertise across a broad range of disciplines (advancement, community engagement, programming, volunteer management, speakers' bureau, etc.), culminating in the role of Curator of Exhibitions. Along the way I was able to achieve institutional and personal goals while delving into new disciplines with gusto. Some highlights:1. Curated new special exhibits focused on social justice issues in collaboration with local, national, and international partners. -Invisible: Slavery Today (with nine partner organizations and featured at the 1st UN Conference on Human Trafficking in Vienna Austria) -Business as Unusual: Heroes of the Holocaust (with the Center for Holocaust and Humanities Education) -In Search of Darfur...with Nick Clooney (with Nick and Nina Clooney) -Breaking Through: The Reintegration of Professional Football (with the Professional Football Hall of Fame, The National Football League, and The Mike Brown Family)2. After a year of research, developed and grew the Contemporary Slavery Institute (CSI) by building reciprocal collaborative partnerships with multiple institutions working locally, nationally, and globally. I represented the institution in a knowledge expert capacity within the museum, NGO and anti-trafficking communities.

I moved from Administrative Assistant to Manager of International Programs while building strong experience in event planning, marketing, program development and administration. In the wake of 9/11, I wrote the Law Center-wide emergency policy for international programs and travel. I also unified and revitalized the planning and production of all marketing plans, collateral materials and special programming across the department in order to streamline resources and staffing and defining a cohesive corporate image.

With NAMD I self-taught web design when asked to revamp the NAMD website and had my first experience planning and executing a national conference. The most important takeaway from NAMD would be understanding how exceeding expectations in service and outreach creates a strong foundation for achieving strategic goals.

I assisted in developing and implementing a preventative maintenance program which helped earn first time JCAHO accreditation. As Historical Consultant I conducted substantive research on the institution and general history, provided expert support in the design of permanent displays and special programming and wrote and recording radio-based promotional segments.
