Participate and coordinate process improvements with CROs and vendors; proactively participate in regular R&D process improvements with R&D finance business partners; participate in month-end and year-end close and financial statement footnotes compliant with GAAP; research, maintain, coordinate, record all transactions on equity method, private and publicly traded legacy investments and deferred contingent consideration liabilities; contribute in development and improvement of processes and tools; lead in-house and other training to ensure GAAP and SOX compliance; participate in audits and divestiture of divisions and other various ad-hoc projects.

Consulted within accounting and finance department supporting the general ledger manager recording and reconciling cash transactions, investment activity, intercompany accounts, year-end audit workpapers and requests and flux analysis on various legal entities.

Responsibilities included performing as the liaison between Weston and external audit teams, manage the scheduling of the annual and benefit plan audit process, gathering supporting documentation from 3rd party providers and preparing audited financial statements in accordance with US GAAP; performing timely and accurate consolidations and eliminating intercompany transactions of the Company, global entities and over 20 subsidiaries; developing tools to efficiently facilitate accounting transactions and reconciliations; assist in maintaining and documenting system of internal controls and accounting policies and procedures; supervise three staff accountants on various reconciliations, workpapers, journal entries, and financials from 3rd party sources; supervise the monthly accounting activities for Holding Company's and Special Purpose Entities (SPE) LLC's; coordinated with the procurement department interpretating contracts and leases, identifying capital, operating leases and reserves; prepared monthly internal financials and reconciliations and analysis of forecast/plan results.

Prepared accounting and financial analysis for specific segments: serving the student housing and military housing & construction renovation division; performed monthly close procedures and account reconciliations in preparation of 10K and 10Q SEC filings; assisted with the external audit team to ensure compliance with SOX controls, audits and quarterly reviews.
