I was hired to provide care to a rapidly expanding team working in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment. I joined the organization as a Communication and Network Manager focused on engaging members through organizational branding and messaging while fostering the connection of people within the network through event planning and strengthening relationships in the fellowship program. Community Engagement Specialist, Omega Women’s Leadership Center (OWLC), 2017-2018At Omega Institute for Holistic Studies, I provided oversight to various community engagement programs, including the Women and Power Conference, Women Serving Women Summit, Juno Women’s Leadership Residency, Collaborative Pilot Program, Scholarship Program, and Omega staff engagement. Key areas of focus included:-Collaborated with cross-functional teams to produce live events, partnering with the Marketing, Creative Design, Registration, Production, Food Services, Housing and Development teams on the marketing, design, registration and strategic communications plans to produce online and print materials.-Conducted extensive research on women leaders to identify and recruit potential applicants for a year-long cohort program. Reviewed, ranked, and presented recommendations on applicant selection to the Director of the Department. I was recruited by the President of the organization to plan and manage various fundraising events, liaise with key stakeholders for the Omega Women’s Leadership Center, and provide oversight for multiple annual scholarship programs. Some of the highlights during my time there include:Led the planning and execution of six fundraising events and created and finalized rundowns for four events. Point person for the executive team, Development Director, and all vendors for the events.Collaborated closely with the Development Director and executive team on operational issues, weighing in on decisions to elevate the value of the various programs offered.Supervised scholarship programs, capturing data to identify potential recipients, and developing a plan to provide education on the program through various outreach mechanisms while increasing applications. Curated engaging content and managed communication with corporate sponsors, grantmakers, and individual donors.Reported detailed information to grantors on level of impact, including quantitative and qualitative data collected from program participants.Developed and managed the creative elements of the print and digital invitations, reminders, acknowledgments, and signage.
