Afghanistan

Assisting the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, and independent institutions, in improving transparency and communications as part of a US State Department programme. Developed and delivered communications training and mentorship to broaden knowledge, boost institutional coordination as well as build capacity and sustainability - particularly in relation to parliamentary elections and intra-Afghan peace talks.

Somalia

Developed outreach to degrade al-Shabaab through defections in support of UK CSSF programme, and enhanced the capacity of the Federal Government of Somalia Defector Rehabilitation Programme.Conducted extensive research with al-Shabaab defectors, their families, Somali security services and AMISOM. Devised innovative outreach campaign to reach potential defectors via networks as well as training programmes for key gatekeepers in the security services.

Afghanistan

Assisted the Government of The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan’s National Security Council (NSC) in environmental context research, cross-government and security service coordination. Developed a finalised first national P/CVE strategy in line with UN guidance for presidential sign off, a UK CSSF programme.

South Sudan

Developed a Strategic Communications Strategy and provided capacity building to encourage cooperation with the Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission (JMEC) as monitors of the Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in the Republic of South Sudan. A UK CSSF programme.

Nigeria

Scoping and research project to identify the drivers of domestic modern slavery to the UK as well as the primary regional source prior to a strategic communications campaign. A Home Office programme.

Nigeria

Institutionalised coordinated communications to counter violent extremist narratives across the military, security services and key government departments. Designed and delivered a regular course on communications to counter violent extremist narratives to approximately 300 participants over a year. A Nigerian Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) programme.
